The latter aims to make Crozier a better place for women as well as offering educational and outreach events.
Amanda manages multiple projects for high profile company clients. She helps to lead and train fellow team members including students and other EITs; delegates tasks and manages project deliverables and project financials to ensure success for the team and the company.
Amanda is deeply involved as a Grand River Chapter volunteer, currently serving as Chair of the chapter’s 30x30 committee. Her role aims to organize workshops and events to encourage the 30x30 goal of increasing the number of female licensed engineers to 30% by 2030, while providing an inclusive space for the chapter community.
Through Amanda’s leadership, the committee has offered multiple virtual events, including collaborations with the Canadian Centre for Women in Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology (WinSETT) to host sessions on difficult conversations and negotiation strategies. Amanda has also collaborated with PEO’s 30x30 Task Force to host Western Region’s first Employer Awareness Session in May. The session provided employers with statistics on female engineers in Ontario and outlined ways employers can hire and retain female engineers. The Committee also organized a virtual event in November that targeted university students and encouraged them to pursue licensure following graduation.
