Dennis David Lang. P.Eng
Dennis David Lang, P.Eng., has held senior positions in industry, government and consulting engineering. He is currently Director of Engineering at the Toronto Harbour commission where he assumed responsibility for managing the THC's environmental affairs. Engineer Lang led the THC's to fund, construct and operate a world class soil treatment facility to decontaminate and reclaim industrial lands owned by the commission for redevelopment. Over 95% of the treated contaminated soil will be re-usable. The project has received international attention as the first of its kind in the world. In 1992 the American Association of Port Authorities awarded the prestigious Calvin Hurst Award for outstanding environmental achievement to the Toronto Harbour Commissioners for its Soil Recycling Demonstration Project.
