Arjan Arenja, P.Eng., MBA
Lieutenant Governor-in-Council Appointee
Arjan Arenja is a professional engineer, entrepreneur, investor, and volunteer. A graduate of University of Waterloo (BASc., Civil Engineering, 1992), Arjan was licenced with PEO in 1994. Arjan spent his early career in consulting engineering focused on building science and structural testing. He later moved to manufacturing to focus on obtaining building code approvals for innovative new building systems in Canada, USA, Argentina, Poland, and China. His tenure at Royal included starting up Royal Telecom Structures, a new division within Royal Plastics and he later managed the Royal Rainware Products Division.
Having enjoyed the business management experience, in 2005 he enrolled in the Executive MBA at the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and graduated in 2007. He later joined Bruce Power where he spent nearly a decade in senior project management roles. Currently, Arjan is a real estate investor in Grey and Bruce counties, developing high quality rental accommodation.
His volunteerism includes: board membership for a local charity, Telecare Direct (a local distress call centre, Brampton); president of the Kincardine badminton club; co-founder of the Bruce County branch of Southwestern Chapter of the Project Management Institute; and various executive roles with Georgian Bay Chapter of PEO, including GLP Chair, Treasurer, Vice Chair, and Chair. Currently Arjan is the Vice Chair of the Government Liaison Committee of PEO. He was also the Co-Chair of the 2018 Government Relations Conference and Chair of the 2018 Queens Park Day Subcommittee. He is also a board member with the Electrical Safety Authority, and a member of their Human Resources and Investment Committee and their Audit Committee.
Arjan is a member of OSPE.
