P.Eng. transfers from another Canadian engineering regulator

Professional engineers licensed with a Canadian engineering regulator in good standing can apply to become a P.Eng. licence holder without repeating the standard licence application process.

P.Eng. Transfer Application Form

To transfer your P.Eng. licence from another Canadian engineering regulator to PEO, please download and complete this fillable application form and send a signed copy with all required documents to [email protected].

If you are applying as a P.Eng. transfer applicant, please email your completed P.Eng. Transfer Application Form and required documents to [email protected] for review.

If you hold a P.Eng. licence from another Canadian engineering association, a national mobility agreement between the provinces and territories allows you to move between them without repeating the entire licensing process. Applicants licensed as professional engineers in good standing in another Canadian engineering association are not required to submit transcripts or write PEO’s National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE).

There is no mobility agreement for Engineers-In-Training or Engineering Interns (EIT). EITs cannot transfer their membership between Canadian engineering regulators. Only P.Eng. licence holders can submit a P.Eng. Transfer Application.

Transfer applications from P.Engs with a restricted practice status in another province will be rejected.
