Licence Status
Licence Status reflects whether PEO considers an individual who is recorded on the PEO register eligible to practise professional engineering in Ontario. PEO recognizes two licence statuses: “Eligible to practise” or “Not currently eligible to practise”. The status is either self-declared/elected by the individual or imposed by PEO.
Eligible to practise
A status of “Eligible to practise” indicates that PEO considers the individual eligible to practise professional engineering in Ontario.
Not currently eligible to practise
A status of “Not currently eligible to practise” indicates that PEO does not consider the individual eligible to practise professional engineering in Ontario for the following reasons:
Voluntary reason:
- They have voluntarily self-declared/elected to have this licence status (and can change that declaration / election in the future).
- They have enrolled in the fee remission program (i.e., because they are retired or otherwise satisfy the fee remission criteria).
- They have voluntarily surrendered (date) their licence.
PEO-imposed reason:
- Their licence has been cancelled (date) for non-payment of the licence fee.
- Their licence has been suspended (dates) by the Registrar.
- Their licence has been revoked (date) by the Registrar.
- Their licence has been suspended (dates) by order of the Discipline Committee.
- Their licence has been revoked (date) by order of the Discipline Committee.
