Toronto – (January 18, 2018) – Effective February 7, 2018, Johnny Zuccon, P.Eng., will take over as interim registrar of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)—Ontario’s engineering regulator.
Zuccon, currently PEO’s deputy registrar, tribunals and regulatory affairs, was appointed interim registrar by the association’s Executive Committee after current Registrar Gerard McDonald, P.Eng., announced his resignation in December. McDonald is set to become CEO of Engineers Canada.
Zuccon’s appointment will remain in effect until a permanent registrar is appointed and takes office. PEO Council began the process for recruiting a new registrar earlier this month.
Joining PEO in 1995, Zuccon has worked in many areas in the organization, giving him a broad range of experience for the role.
