PEO is seeking candidates for positions on the 2024–2025 Council who reflect the diversity of the profession and are knowledgeable about board governance and professional self-regulation.
As a self-regulated profession, PEO needs elected Council members from a wide array of backgrounds; a range of skills, experiences and personal characteristics; and detailed knowledge from a broad spectrum of disciplines, industries and sectors.
As a member of Council, you will provide the necessary direction and control governance functions to ensure PEO fulfills its mandate of governing its licence holders and regulating the practice of professional engineering in Ontario in the public interest.
NEW FOR 2024: All candidates must complete “Boards Basics” orientation training by December 31, 2023. A link to the training will be posted at peovote.ca when it becomes available.
Nomination petitions for collection of nominators’ signatures and nomination acceptance forms may be obtained from the Council Elections website, peovote.ca, or the chief elections officer via email at [email protected].
Completed nomination petitions and nomination acceptance forms are to be sent only electronically and only to the chief elections officer at [email protected], by 4 p.m., November 24, 2023. Nominees are strongly encouraged to submit nominations well in advance of the deadline. All nominations will be confirmed within one business day.
